Holy frak!! No, this is really is your father’s ‘Battlestar Galactica.’ There is a rumor circulating that a new ‘BSG’ movie is in the works and it’ll play off the original 1978 series, not the current Sci-Fi series.
Rumors are swirling about a possible deal between ‘BSG: TOS’ creator, Glen A. Larson and Universal about making a full-featured film. Note, Sci-Fi channel hasn’t heard anything and Universal hasn’t said anything either.
The Sci-Fi series ends four year run this spring. There will be a spin-off called ‘Caprica’ and ‘The Plan,’ a telefeature airing later this year. There is also a rumor running around that the hit Sci-Fi series could also make the transition to the big screen. But that is only a rumor.
